How to use Pioneer Wood Patina
-for 1 quart mix the 1 quart powder concentrate package with 1 quart of water.
-for 1 gallon mix the 1 gallon powder concentrate package (20 grams) with 1 gallon of water.
-for 5 gallons mix the 5 gallon powder concentrate package (100 grams) with 5 gallons of water.
-The temperature of the water does not matter.
-Once mixed let the solution sit for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes test on small area.
-Using a brush, roller or sprayer cover the boards with the solution, ensuring the entire board is completely wet.Coverage:
- 1 Quart- 37-50 SF
- 1 gallon- 150-200 SF
- 5 gallon- 750-1000 SF
-See color changes within a few minutes but takes approximately 1-2 weeks to achieve full effect.
-Final color will vary based on wood species, age and exposure to the elements.Application precautions:
-May stain hands, clothes, other building materials such as stucco, concrete, window frames etc.
-Pine wood species will need rain and sunshine in order to mature the patina. Pine boards for interior applications will need to be left outside until the desired look is achieved.
-Use soap and water.
-Store either the powder concentrate or your mixed solution in an air tight container.
Shelf life for Pioneer Wood Patina:
-Powder concentrate- indefinite
-Pre-mixed with water- minimum 5 years

Always test on scrap wood or in hidden location prior to application over large areas.
