 This home was stained with Transformation Log Stain and chinked inside and out with Chinker's Edge Chinking by Harlin Ellis and his crew.
The constant wind off the lake creates a harsh environment for any log home finish. Transformation is an oil based stain made by Sashco Log Home Products and is up to the task. Chinker's Edge Log Chinking was selected because of it's excellent workability and elasticity which is needed to seal full round logs such as those used in this log home.

(Above Left) The custom panel in this cedar log railing was designed by the owner and fabricated in our shop prior to installation on-site by our crew.
(Above Right) Here the cedar log railings protect the balcony edge over the great room. The log trusses used in the construction of this home add to the rustic charm of this log vacation home.

(Top Left) Massive rock and log columns and a log truss were used in the framing of the two story covered entry on this log home. Rustic paneled Alder doors were used on both levels. Transformation Log Stain was used on the exterior logs to bring out the natural beauty of the wood and protect the exterior from the harsh Oklahoma wind.
(Top Center) Cedar log posts and railings with turned tenons and log spindles accent the exterior of this log home. The logs on the house and the log railings were stained with two different colors of Transformation to provide contrast to each feature. Chinking has not yet been applied to this portion of the home.
(Top Right) Following the application of stain, Chinker's Edge Chinking has been applied to seal the gaps between these full round logs. Notice that the corners of the dormer have been finished with massive logs installed vertically for dramatic effect. Again the cedar log railings and posts have been finished with a complementing color of Transformation Log Stain.
(Bottom Left) With all of the exposed wood on this log home the owners knew that a premium quality log home finish would be needed to reduce the amount of maintenance required in the future. Following the use of Transformation Stain a clear top coat of Sashco's Cascade Clear Exterior Sealant was applied to the logs on this home for added protection and longevity.
(Bottom Center) The yet unfinished cedar log railings and spindles shown here at the interior stairway are accented by the large full round logs used in the home's construction and the painted drywall used to breakup the overall rustic look of the finished log walls.
(Bottom Right) Here the full round cedar log railings tie into one of the homes main log support posts at the balcony overlooking the stairs to the loft area above the great room.
