These pictures are of a Log Cabin Located on the Northfork River near Dora, Missouri.
This log home was constructed of milled 8" western cedar logs from a Precision Craft Log Home package.
The finish is with Sashco's Capture Log Stain in the Bronze Pine color and Cascade Clear Log Finish
(At Left) The two story prow and large open deck on this log home over look the river below. This combined with the second floor log dormer and massive stone fireplace makes an impressive statement when viewed from the rivers edge.

(Top Left) The use of dormers in the loft area of this log home adds useful floor space to the second story. This also allows for the installation of extra windows for natural light which adds to the open feeling within the finished log home.
(Top Center) Massive laminated beams support the roof framing above this log home. Open beamed ceilings along with t&g decking add to the open airy feeling within the finished space.
(Top Right) Full round logs are used as support for the loft floor in this log cabin, "v" groove t&g decking will be installed over the log floor supports so that the floor decking will also act as the ceiling finish below. Notice the through bolts sticking up over the log walls. These bolts extend from the basement foundation below to the top of the log walls making the logs extremely resistant to lateral movement. Compression springs will be installed at the top of the log wall to compensate for any shrinkage in the logs.
(Bottom Left) Full round logs present a challenge when installing some fixtures and finishes. Here notice the how a router template has been used to flatten a spot in the logs for electrical cover plates to be installed.
(Bottom Center) In keeping with the rustic nature of the site the detached garage was finished with cedar half log siding and a standing seam roof to match the cedar logs and metal roof used on the cabin. The same rock was used on the concrete retaining walls at the garage as was used on the fireplace, and the logs were finished with Sashco's Capture and Cascade two part log stain and sealant matching the home's Bronze Pine color.
(Bottom Right) The full scribe half log stairs were supplied with the log home package by Precision Craft Log Homes. The railings and log spindles were turned by a local company from Eastern Red Cedar logs and stained to match the western red cedar logs used as the stairs and stair supports.
